Where we live: Katoomba is 100 Km west of Sydney in the Blue Mountains, a world heritage listed area of several thousand hectares of wilderness. Katoomba is the commercial centre of the Blue Mountains with supermarkets, cafes, restaurants, hotels, guesthouses and specialty shops. It is a well known weekend and holiday destination as it is 90 minutes from Sydney by road and 2 hours by train. Main attractions: The Blue Mountains has many bushwalking (rambling) trails from short duration to full day and beyond. It is also famous for canyoning, caving and rock climbing. For the less adventurous we have some charming villages to visit such as Leura, Blackheath and Wentworth Falls. Katoomba, Blue Mountains is a village set in a World Heritage National Park. Our cottage is close to Bushwalks, Echo Point & The 3 Sisters. It is cosy & warm in Winter, very clean and with all mod cons. We are Slow Food Members. Home is a modern mountain cottage with approximately 2400 Sq.Ft., on a wooded 5 acres with river frontage on the Watauga River, popular with fly fishermen, and very accessible to all Boone, Blowing Rock, NC, area amenities. Convenient to Blue Ridge Parkway, World Class Westglow Spa, Appalachian State Univ, Grandfather Mt, Linville Falls, and many other attractions. About 2 hours to Charlotte, NC International Airport. Home features include a hot tub on the lower deck and a great screened porch overlooking the river, TV with satellite reception and a DVR, king or queen bed in each BR. We are open to many areas but are most interested in Montana near Glacier or Yellowstone Park, Maine or Vermont, or many places in the United Kingdom and Europe.
